Discussion Papers

To fully deliver on the promise of technology now and into the future, we require careful attention to the implementation processes of new technologies, the cascades of impacts on healthcare work, and the ethical implications of these new frontiers. The opportunities and challenges ahead of us are both theoretical and practical. Theoretical questions include how we think about institutions, ethics, and identities in relation to emerging technologies in healthcare. Practical questions include dynamics of innovation, regulation, and policy related to technology as well as imperatives to support whole systems learning and systems transformation.
